This Privacy Policy explains how Filmple ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use filmple.co. By using our services, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly:

• Account data: name, email address, hashed password
• Order data: purchase history, products downloaded, transaction IDs
• Payment data: processed by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number
• Communications: messages you send via our contact form or custom-order brief

We also automatically collect basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) to keep the service running and secure.

2. How we use it

• To fulfill orders and deliver downloadable products
• To manage your account and authenticate logins
• To send transactional emails (verification, password reset, order confirmation)
• To respond to support requests
• To detect fraud and protect the service
• To improve the catalog and user experience

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Stripe — to process payments and manage subscriptions
• Our email provider (Namecheap Private Email) — to send transactional emails
• Law enforcement — when legally required

4. Cookies

Filmple uses essential cookies and browser storage to keep you logged in, remember your cart, and maintain your preferences. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Your rights

You can:

• Access and update your account information from your profile page
• Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your account and personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time

6. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Order records are retained for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes. Deleted account data is purged within 30 days unless legal retention applies.

7. Security

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Payments run through Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure. Connections to our site use HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

8. Children

Filmple is not directed at users under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or on this page. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
